I feel like I made good headway today. My biggest issue for my thesis is finding a way to quantitatively measure instantaneous stress. Affectiva is a company that spun-off from MIT's Media Lab. It makes wristbands called the Q Sensor. They have recently released the Q Sensor 2.0, which charts stress data for you, basing its measurement on heart rate, blood-pressure, sweat release, and other indications of instantaneous biological stress - which is exactly what I am wanting to do!
Obviously, this is too good to be true. Each unit costs $2,000.
